COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update

As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) crisis continues, GPOA wants you to know we are continuing to take extra precautions to maintain the health and safety of our patients and healthcare professionals while in the office. You may see our team members in a variety of personal protective equipment, and we are also checking patients’ temperatures upon arrival for their appointment. We are asking if you, or a household contact, are experiencing cough, fever, or cold/flu like symptoms, or if you were exposed to a person that tested positive for the coronavirus, to please reschedule your appointment. This also pertains to any recent travel internationally or to the hot spot cities.

We are complying with state and national guidelines to postpone elective surgeries as well as non-urgent office visits. You may have already received a call to cancel your upcoming appointment. We will be operating on a modified basis in our Moon Township and Shadyside offices only. These offices will be open from 8 am until noon, Monday through Friday. We have limited availability, and are doing our best to accommodate patients and their needs. Please note, all other office locations are temporarily closed, but be assured your physician’s clinical assistant will be able to assist with any needs you may have.

For your convenience, GPOA is now offering telemedicine services; a virtual appointment where you can interact with your provider via a smartphone, tablet or computer with camera capabilities. This is a safe and effective alternative to coming to the office for an appointment. Please contact our office for more information. For the Shadyside office call 412-661-5500, and for the Moon Township office call 412-262-7800.

We will continue to update our patients through email, and on our website at gpoa.com. We hope to be back to regular operating hours and re-open all offices in the very near future.

Sincerely,
GPOA Physicians & Staff
