m. russell leslie, md

One of the senior members of the practice, Dr. Leslie served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps before going on to complete his residencies.

He also spent a year under the guidance of Dr. Joseph H. Boyes in Los Angeles where he developed a specialization in hand surgery, and went on to develop a regimen for surgical reconstruction of the arthritic patient.

Currently, Dr. Leslie focuses on surgery of the hand and upper extremity. He's known for paying close attention to both the physical and emotional needs of his patients.

"Because of the internal nature of most of the orthopaedic problems we treat, our patients are understandably tentative and unsure. It's important for me to develop a relationship of mutual trust so our patients can help us to help them."

A Pittsburgh native, Dr. Leslie lives with his wife, Ginger, in northeast Pittsburgh. They have four children and seven grandchildren.
